Please note all legal fees given in the table exclude Value Added Tax (VAT). VAT is charged at the current rate of 20% unless specifically stated. Charging VAT in relation to your matter may depend on where you live and what immigration permission you have. When you have instructed us, we will confirm whether VAT at a rate of 20% is payable. VAT is not charged on disbursements with the Home Office.
The costs displayed are estimates only, per application and may change following further discussions with you and establishing the supporting evidence required.
The relevant fee earners hourly rates that advise on immigration matters include:
Employment Solicitor: £200 – £325 plus VAT
Paralegal / Trainee: £175 plus VAT
The number of hours spent on your application depends on the number of documents and supporting evidence we need to consider, whether translations are needed, whether required information is missing and how long it will take to obtain the missing information.
The basis for our charges is for the following assistance:
Advising you on the requirements of the Immigration Rules and whether you meet the criteria;
Reviewing and considering the evidence provided and where necessary, obtaining further evidence;
Calculating application costs and additional fees owed to the Home Office;
Preparing your application and providing a draft for your review before submission;
Finalising and submitting your application and paying associated costs;
Providing advice about the outcome of the application and further steps you need to take.

The costs quoted do not include any Home Office Fees for making the relevant application. We can make payments to the Home Office directly on your behalf when filing the application.
Where the Home Office refuse your application, advice and assistance in relation to any appeal.
How long will the application take?
Please note, the anticipated number of hours and fees are an estimate based on the facts above. All applications are likely to vary and of course, we can give you a more accurate estimate once we have more information about your specific case.
Dependent on how quickly you provide us with the required information for the application and supporting evidence, we can usually submit applications within 2-10 weeks of you instructing us. From submitting the application, the Home Office has varying processing times and therefore we cannot guarantee how long this will take. In some circumstances you may be able to apply for priority service at an additional cost to receive a quicker decision.
